Mr. Lewis has over 25 years of experience practicing law. He graduated magna cum laude, with honors, from Western Carolina University in 1987, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. He then attended the University of South Carolina School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor degree in 1990. While in law school, Mr. Lewis served as the Chief Justice of his legal fraternity, Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International.
After obtaining his Juris Doctor, Mr. Lewis received his law license in the State of South Carolina. He is also licensed to practice before the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Mr. Lewis began his legal career as a prosecutor in the 8th Judicial Circuit of South Carolina. He later practiced law in Nashville, Tennessee, where he worked as Assistant General Counsel for the Department of Health. As Assistant General Counsel, Mr. Lewis prosecuted healthcare professionals, such as doctors, nurses, and paramedics before their respective boards. Mr. Lewis is also a member of the South Carolina Association for Justice.
Mr. Lewis practices in the areas of personal injury law, workers’ compensation, and medical malpractice.
